Nepal Design Training

We always try to do good in the communities that help us grow.  INBAR was sponsoring a design training in Nepal to help artisans develop their crafts.  When the budget for an established design professional was cut, we decided to offer our service.  Lishu went to Nepal for the 2 day training which included an Intro to Contemporary Design Principles and a day of Experiments. There were 25 artisans of various skill level who hopefully walked away ignited by the idea of incorporating basic design principles into their new products instead of always reproducing copies. The training was short but a good start. It definitely retaught us a lot about the difference between an artisan and a designer and the years it takes to master both.
